AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY HOUSING CORPORATION FOR A HOME PROGRAM
HOMEOWNER REHABILITATION GRANT AND AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST
FUND COMPANION GRANT FOR THE DEMOLITION AND RECONSTRUCTION OF
HOUSES FOR LOW -TO -MODERATE INCOME HOMEOWNERS WITHIN THE CITY
LIMITS
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a HOME Program Homeowner
Rehabilitation Grant and an Affordable Housing Trust Fund Companion Grant adopted by
Municipal Order No. 913 on September 13, 2001, for assistance to low -to -moderate income
homeowners within the city limits; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Housing Corporation has approved the application and
is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Housing Corporation to obtain
a matching HOME Program Homeowner Rehabilitation Grant in the amount of $417,528.00 and
an Affordable Housing Trust Fund Companion Grant in the amount of $20,000.00. The City will
provide matching funds in the amount of $21,951.00, for this project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the HOME 2001 account,
project no. CD0045.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
