AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PAINTING OF THE

INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR OF THF CITY MARIET HOUSE, AND AUTHOHIZING

THF CONfTAISSIONFR OF PUBLIC PROPERTY TO ADVER'T'ISE FOR AND RECEIVE
BIDS THEREFOR AND FOR LETTING CONTRACT FOR SUCH PJORK AND PAYMENT

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF 007:?T:ISSION7"-FS
OF THr CITY OF PADUCAH, KrFTTUCKY:
SECTION 1.
That the Uommissioner of Public Property be and he
is hereby authorized and empowered to n vertise for and receive
sealed bids on a date to be named by him in such advertisement
Bor the painting of the interior and exterior of the City Market
House, and he will receive said bids under seal and will open them
at the time and place mentioned in the advertisement, which shall
not be less than five days after the publication of such notice,
and he shall report said bids to the Board of Commissioners with
his recommendation thereon, and the Hoard of Commissioners will
authorize him to accept the lowest and best bid for said work, and
to specify the terms and conditi^ns of the contract for such work
and to provide for the payment thereof.
SECTION 2.
On account of the fact that the City Market
House is being damaged and injured because of the lack of paint,
and it is important that said City 1'tarket Fouse be painted as
quickly as possible in order to conserve said building and prevent
the damage thereto, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and
this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its adoption.
