ADIPTE M. TAYLOR AND HER HUSBAND, J.Q. TAYLOR. WHEREAS, in a.litigation between the Taylor Real Estate Company and Mrs. Adine M. Taylor and her husband, J.Q. Taylor, against the City of Paducah for the purpose of determining the ownership of a strip of ground two feet, nine inches wide on the west side of Fourth Street at the intersection of Broadway and Fourth Street and south from Broadway, in which it has been determined by the Court that said strip of ground belongs to the Taylor Real Estate Company and to Mrs. Adine M. Taylor and her husband, J.Q. Taylor, and WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of Paducah to procure said strip of ground for the purpose of widening the sidewalk and making said street and sidewalk uniform in width and on account of the fact that said street is in the heart of the business district of the City of Paducah and said added space is needed to acc- omodate the traffic on said streets, and PIHEREAS, the said Taylor Real Estate Company and Mrs. Adine M. T&ylor and her husband, J.Q. Taylor, have agreed to execute a deed to said strip of ground to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the purp- ose of allowing said strip to be used for city purposes in considereltion of the payment by the City of Paducah of the sum of Two Thousand($2000.Oq Dollars. NOW TIiEREFORE; BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONER OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That the proposition of the Taylor Real Estate Company and Mrs. Adine M. Taylor and her husband, J.Q. Taylor, to convey to the City, of Paducah for the purpose of widening the Street and sidewalk on the South side of Broadway and West side of Fourth Street, a strip (of ground) extending approximately Seventy (70) feet southwardly from Broadway and Two feet, Nine inches, westwardly and making a parallelogram appro-Vimate Seventy (70) feet long by Two feet, Nine inches wide for the sum of Two Thousand ($2000.00) Dollars be accepted and that said deed, when tender- ed, be accepted subject to its approval by the Board of Commissioners and upon the acceptance of said deed the Commissioner of Public Finance is hereby authorized and instructed to issue to the Taylor Real Estate Company and to Mrs. Adine M. Taylor and her husband, J.Q. Titylor, or to PAGE 23 whomsoever they shall direct to receive same, a check for the sum of Two Thousand ($2000.00) Dollars dravin on the City of Paducah and payable out of the general funds of said City. SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall tgke effect ten days after its passage by the Board of Commissioners.
