AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR TIM TEMPORARY EMPLOYGIENT OF
CERTAIN EMPLOYEES IN THE DEPAREdENT OF THE COI-11-IISSIONER OF PUBLIC
SAFETY OF THE CITY OF EALUCAH* I'.ENTUCKY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF 001.2IISSIONERS OF THE CITY
OF PADUCAH, IMP7TUCKY.
SECTION 1.
The Commissioner of Public Safety is hereby authorized and
empowered to make temporary employment of not exceeding five persons
to work in the Police Department and such employees.shall be under
the control and direction of the Commissioner of Public Safety and
shall continue under such temporary employment subject to the
pleasure.of the Commissioner o£'Public Safety, and shall be paid the
same compensation as other employees in said department of the same
rank and grade and performing like and similiar services.
SECTION 2.
Commissioner of Public Safety is further authorized and
empowered to make temporary emplo3mient of one extra captain in the
Fire Department and one extra fireman to serve at the pleasure and
under the control and direction of the Commissioner of Public Safety,
and who shall receive the same compensation as other employees in the
Fire Department of the same rank and grade for the same services.
SECTION 3.
The Commissioner of Public Safety is further authorized and
empowered to make temporary employment of an electrician for the
Purpose of caring for the police call bell system and for rendering
such other services as may be required of him by the Commissioner of
Public Safety and who shall receive for his services -the same compen-
sation as regular policemen.
SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be in effect from and after its passage.
