ORDINANCE NO. 2002-1- 64-4,9
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY HOUSING CORPORATION FOR A HOME PROGRAM
HOMEBUYER 2001 GRANT TO BUY DOWN THE COST OF NEW HOMES FOR LOW -
TO -MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for a HOME Program Homebuyer 2001
Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 914 on September 13, 2001, for assistance to low -to -
moderate income families within the city limits; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Housing Corporation has approved the application and
is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Housing Corporation to obtain
a matching HOME Program Homebuyer 2001 Grant in the amount of $217,068.00. The City
will provide matching funds in the amount of $10,853.00, for this project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the HOMEBUYER 2001
account, project no. CD0046.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
r effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
