AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO
EXECUTE A GRANT AGREEMENT AND ALL DOCUMENTS RELATING THERETO
WITH THE KENTUCKY HOUSING CORPORATION FOR AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING
TRUST FUND GRANT FOR THE CHRISTMAS IN APRIL PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Paducah applied for an Affordable Housing Trust Fund
Grant adopted by Municipal Order No. 915 on September 13, 2001, for the Christmas in April
Program; and
WHEREAS, the Kentucky Housing Corporation has approved the application and
is now ready to award this grant.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Grant
Agreement and all documents relating thereto with the Kentucky Housing Corporation to obtain
a matching grant in the amount of $40,000.00 for an Affordable Housing Trust Fund Grant for
the Christmas in April Program. The City will provide matching funds in the amount of
$2,000.00, for this project.
SECTION 2. This expenditure shall be charged to the Afford Housing Trust
account, project no. CD0016.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be read on two separate days and will become
effective upon summary publication pursuant to KRS Chapter 424.
