COST OF TN': ABUTTIIG PROPIRTY 0":NERS, AND PrOVIDII?G THAT SUCH COST T"'Y BE P.ID FOR UNDrP, THE TETT YEAR PAYI,711T PLAN=" and 711787?AS,in accordance •::ith said ordinance, it was pro- vided that the cost of the construction of s -id sidewalk, curb, ,atter, driveways, etc bb paid for by the abutting Property owners Dn both sides thereof, except that portion to be Paid by the City of PAGE 106 Pacucirh, as required by law, and :TrI]REAS,pursuant to said ordinance a contract was entered into on the day of. 1927, between G.`% Katterjohn 1: Son, con- tractors, and the City of Paducah, Kentucky, for the construction thereof, and ,HEREAS, said contract has in all respects been completed and the work thereof finished and accepted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. Kentucky on the 11th day of June, 19281pursuant to the recommendation made therefor by the Commissioner of Public 'corks of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and pursuant to a motion made by said Commissioner, which motion was duly adopted by the Board of Commissioners N0:7, THERFFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,.K-ENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That all of the property on the south side of MonVoe Street, from the west property line of 21st street to the East property line of 25th Street, and on the North side.of Monroe Street, from the 'Test Property line of 22nd Street to the East property line of 25th Street; sidewalk and driveway only on both sides of 24th Street, from the Borth property line of Jefferson Street to theSouth property line of Monroe Street, in the Oity of Paducah, Kentucky, as shorn by the Engine(:rls estimate.of same, be, and the same is hereby assessed for the cost of construction of concrete sidewalk curb, gutter and driveways as follows; Concrete sidewalk ;17 1 per sq. ft. Concrete gutter ;36;1 per lin. ft. Concrete driveways .25y1 per sq, ft. 4" Cnst iron pipe .35... per lin. ft. Concrete curb straight :53per lin; ft. Concrete curb curved:60y! per lin; ft. Cost of interest,extra work and exp.joints on Monroe St. 00'.035673185 per $1.00 const, cost Cost of interest,extra work and exp.joints on 24th St. QO.035456672 per 1.00 Const, cost Cost engineering & insp. 50.030543184 per 5p1.00 const, cost including all necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins, sewer pipe connections and drain pipe, as shorn by the engineer's estimates on file in the office of the Commissioner of Public :+orks, which estimates are made part hereof. SECTION 2. That all of the funds derived from the assessment of said Property aforesaid shall be used fm the purpose of paying off the tax bills issued against said property, or such bcnds as may be issued by the ;ity of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky 4tatutes. SECTION 3. That pursuant to Section 3101 of. the Kentucky Statutes, as upended and re-enacted and now in force, said assessment may be, at the )ption of the property owners, payable in cash within thirty days from PAGE 107 ;he cuts of the passing and recording of this ordinance, or in ton annual installments, pursuant to the provisions of said Statutes. SECTION 4. In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment of the cost of that protion of the special assessments herein provided for, and vahich may be paid on the ten year installment plan, as hereinbefore provided for, the City of Paducah may issue and sell improvement bonds, and to secure the payment of which bonds, there is hereby pledged such taxes and liens upon the property assessed herein for the payment of the principal and interest on such bonds, but such bonds shall not be sold for less than "ar, and the proceeds thereof applied exclusively to the payment for the improvement of said streets as hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds, if issued, shall bear interest, and shall be payable in accordance with the provisions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, as amended and re-enacted by the General Assembly of the Cormom,realth of Kentucky and now in force and effect. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, record and publication.
