.AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE ASSESSING OF PROPERTY IN THE
CITY OF PADUCAH,KENTUCKY AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A CITY
ASSESSOR AND AN ASSISTANT ASSESSOR, PRESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES AND FIKING
THEIR COMPENSATION AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREVITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COP.ILiISSIONERS OF THE
CITY OF PADICAH, KENTUCKY.
SECTION 1.
All property subjoct to taxation in the City of Paducah,
Kentucky shall be assessed by the City Assessor, and there is hereby
created.in the department of Public Finance the position of .City
Assessor; and said City Assessor shall be elected by the Board of
Commissioners and shall serve at the pleasure of said Board, and shall.
perform all the duties required by general lavrs and by ordinances of the
City of Paducah, concerning the assessing of property for city purposes,
and he shall perform such other duties as may be, from time ,to time,
required of him by the Commissioner of Public Finance. There shall also
be appointed by the Board of Commissioners an Assistant 1 sessor, who
shall perform such duties.as may be required of him by the Assessor or by
the Commissioner of Public Finance.
The City Assessor shall receive as compensation for his
services the sum of One Hundred and Fifty ($150.00) Dollars per month,
and the Assistant Assessor shall receive for his services the sum of
Eighty ($80.00) Dollars per month.
