BE IT OHDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, .KENTUCKY: :SECTION 1 : That concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, together with all necessary manholes, ini.akes, catch 1)asins, driveways and sewer pipe connections be constructed on both sides of Greer Avenue, from the north property line of 12th Street to the south property line of 11th Street, in the City of Paducah, Kenrucky, in accordance' with the plans and specifications provided therefor by the City Engineer of said City, and which plans and specifications are on file+in the office of the City Engineer, and are Mereby referred to and made part hereof as if specifically set forth herein. � I : SECTION 2 : Said improvement shall be made under the direction and supervision of the City Engineer and the Board of Public Viorks 1 of said City, and shall be commenced at the time designated by aontract for the performance thereof and completed on or before December 1st, 1925. i SECTION 3 : The cost of such construction shall be paid for ,,iholly f I; by the property o'ianers fronting or abutting thereon, to be apportioned and assessed against the property and property owners abutting, thereon according to the number of abutting feet, except that portion, li if any, to be paid by the City of Paducah as required by law. l i' SECTIO14 4 The Contractor awarded the contract for the work herein Drovided shall be paid in accordance with the provisions of Section 3096, 3100 3101 and 3102 of th e Kentucky Statutes. No. A62. : SECTION 5 : The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized and directed to execute written contract required of the successful bidder for the construction of said improvements; and also to approve the construction bond required of the contractor. r Bids shall be received for the improvement herein provided for; in accordance :^pith the plans and specifications and Profile furnished by the City Engineer of said City, and the contract therefor shall be awarded to the lowest and best bidder, extent the right is expressly reserved to reject any and all bids ,iithin the discretion of the General Council, and said General Council may accept any bid which appears to be for the best interest of said City. SECTION 7 : The Board of Public -.Forks is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for bids for the contract for said improvements, which bids said Board will report to the General Council, together with its recommendation for the acceptance of any of same, or the rejection of all of same. : SiLCTION 8 : This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, approvAl and publication.
