FT. 16¢ PER LIN FT. ?0.0565979 PER SBUTTING FOOT. 0.0242228 PER DOLLAR OF CONSTRUCTION COST, FOR THE COST OF CONSTRUCTION OF SAID IMPROVF11ENTS, EXCEPT THAT POR- TION TO BE PAID FOR BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND PROVIDINC THAT SAID C06T L1AY BE PAID IN TEN ANNUAL PAYI.IENTS, BEING ONE EACH YEARI FOR THE PERIOD OF TEN YEARS; WHEREAS, The ,General Council of the city of Paducah, 1has heretofore, to -wit; on the 24th day of June, 1924, adopted an . 04 •.:.: ... r. ordinance, entitldd, "Ari ordinance providing for the improvement by the construction of concrete side -walks, curbs, and gutters of either No. y 10. concrete or granite as may be determined on receipt of bids, including all intersections not heretofore constructed, as particularly shown by the plans of the City Engineer therefor, together with all necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins, sewer pipe connections and cast iron drain pipes, in accordance with the plans and specifications furnished by the City Engineer of said City, of the following named streets: Both sides of 13th Street from the north curb line of Tennessee Street to the south r- curb line of Jackson Street; both sides of Tennessee Street from the wr-st - curb line of 16th Street to the north curb line of Guthrie Avenue; both sides of north 11th Street from the north property line of Madison Street to the south curb line of Trimble Street; both sides of I.ionroe Street from the west property line of Fountain Avenue (17th Street) to the east property line of 19th Street; both sides of 20th Street, 21st Street, 22nd Street, 23rd Street and 24th Street, from the north property line of Broadway to the south property line of Jefferson Street; the east side only of 25th Street from the north property line of Broadway to the south property line of Jefferson Street; both sides of Madison Street and Harrison Street from the west property line of 12th Street to the east property line of Harahan Bouvelard (15th Street); both sides of south 5th Street from the south curb line of Jackson Street to the north curb line Norton Street; both sides of 20th Street from the south property line proadway to the north property line of Kentucky Avenue; both sides of th 6th Street and north 7th Street from the north curb line of Madison et to the south curb line of Trimble Street; both sides of Clay street rom the west curb line of 19th Street to the east curb line of 21st Streat', WHEREAS, in accordance with said ordinance it was provided ithat the cost of construction of said side -walks, curbs and gutters, be paid for by the abutting ownars on both sides thereof, except that portion to be paid by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as required by law; and, 'NHEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was entered ('into on August 26, 1924, between G. 49. Robinson of Owensboro, Kentucky, and said City, for the construction thereof; and, 49HEREAS, said construction has been completed and duly accepted by the General Council on the 18th day of l:;ay, 1925, pursuant to the recommendation of the Board of Public Works of said City: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GE14ERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That all property on both sides of 13thStreet from the north curb line of Tennessee Street to the south curb line of Jackson Street; both sides of Tennessee Str,:et from the west curb line of 16th Street to the north curb line of Guthrie Avenue; both sides of north lith Street from the north property line of (Madison Street ! to the south curb line of Trimble Street; both sides of h._onroe Street from the west property line of Fountain Avenue (17th Street) to the east property line of 19th Street; both sides of 20th Street, 21st Street, 22nd Street 23rd Street and 24th Street from the north property line of Broadway to the south property line of Jefferson Street; the east side only of 25th Street from the north property line of Broadway to the south property line of Jefferson Street; both sides of Madison street and Harrison Street; from the west property line of 12th Street to the east property line of Harahan Bouvelard (15th Street); both sides of south 5th Street from the south curb line of Jackson Street to the north curd line of Norton Street; both sides of 20th Street from the south property line of Broadway to the north property line of entucky Avenue; both sides of North 6th Street and north 7th Street, from the north curb line of I:,adison Street to the south curb line of Trimble Street; both sides of Clay "treet from the west curb line of 19th Street to the east curb line of fifth Street of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, as shown by the City Engineer's estimate of same, be and the same is, hereby assessed by the cost of co,-istruction for concrete side -walks, curbs, and gutters as follows; Concrete sidewalks .1;i 0. 195 per sq. ft. Interest Cost 0.0242228 per dollar of construction cost. I ias particularly shown by said estimate of such cost on file in the ;office of the City Engineer, including all necessary, manholes, intakels, catch basins, sewer pipe connections and cast iron drain pipes used I in such construcrion, and which estimate is now referred to and made part hereof. SECTION 2. i That the funds derived from the assessment of said prop- erty shall be used for the purpose of paying off the special tax bills issued against said property, or such bonds as may be issued by the City of Paducah, Kentucky, pursuant, to Sections 3101 of the i I Kentucky Statutes. BEC'12I011 3. I That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, said tax assessment may, at the option of the property owner, he payable in cash without interest within 30 days from the date of No. 41.2. i i of passage and publication of this ordinance, or in ten annual install - merits, provided the property owner shall before the expiration of said 30. days, enter into a written agreement with said city, in accordance with the provisions of Section 3101 of the ?_entucky Statutes. SECTION 4. In order to provide a fund for the immediate payment of the cost of that portion of the special assessneht herein provided for, which may be paid for on the installment plan, as hereinbefore provided, the City of Paducah may issue and sell improvement bonds, and to secure the payment of such bonds, there is hereby pledged such taxes and liens ori the property assessed herein for the payment of the princiral and' interest, but such bonds shall not be sold for less than par, and the the proceeds derived therefrom shall be applied exclusively, to the payment of the cost of said construction as hereinbefore provided, and such bonds, if issued, shall 'Dear interest a nd shall be payable in accordance with the provisions of Sections 3101 of the ;:entucky Statutes as amended by Act 1910.
