Ali ORDINANCE CREA`L'ING THE OFFICES OF CITY PHYSICIAN AND
ALSO ASSISTANT CITY PHYSICIAN IN THE CITY OF PADUC_H. KENTUCKY; PRE-
SCRIBING THE TERM AND 0 LIFICATIOidS AND COIti=ENzATION Or SAID OFFICERS.
BE IT ORD=IIIED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
--SECTION 1. --
That the offices of City Physician and Assistant City
Physician are hereby created. No one shall be eligible for
appointment to either of said offices who is not a graduate of medicine
and duly authorized to engage in the practise of medicine under the laws
of the State of 'uentucky.
--..ECTION 2. --
Said City Physician shall have charge of and treat all
indigent white citzens of said City upon call from the I:layor or Health
Officer, or other persons designated by the Board of Health. rind
said Assistant City Physician shall perform similar service in the treat-
ment of negro citzens of said City. The said City Physician and
Assistant City Physician shall be under the supervision and control of
the said Board of Health, and .=hall male monthly reports showing in I
detail the calls and services performed by each of them. ::ach of
said Officers shall be chosen for a term of one year by the General
Council of said City and Shall hold office until his successor shall
have qualified.
--LECTION 3► -
The salary of City Physician shall be X1200.00 per year,
and of Assistant City Physician, `900.00 per ,year, each payable monthly.
All ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed and this
ordinance'shall take effect and be in force from its passage, approval
and publication.
