AN ORDINANCE CREATING A 30ARD OF CITY PLANNING
COI.MISEIONERS IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND PRESCRIBING THE
'TERIA OF OFFICE, WI LITICATIONS, POWERS AND DUTIES, AND THE COLPEN-
SATION OF ''=HE IaELIBr.RS THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY;
--SECTION 1. --
That a Board of City Planning Commissioners in and for
!the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, and the .3ame is, hereby created,
pursuant to authority conferred upon cities of the second class by an
Act of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, approved
Larch 24, 1922, and contained in Chapter 99, Acts of s.aid General
Assembly.
Said Board shall consist of the I,;ayor and four members
who shall be appointed by the Mayor. Such Commis:,ioners shall be
legal voters of said City and shall hold no other municipal office,
'and shall serve without compensation.
The members of said Board so appointed shall hold office
for the periods of one, two, three and four years respectively from
the date of their appointment hereunder, and the reafter":'bc a, -term
of four ,years, and until their successors shall have been appointed
,and qualified.
--SECTIOII Said Boards Boards shall have and excerise all the powers
,Iconferred upon it by and under said Act of the General Assembly, and
!shall discharge the duties thereby imposed; but the expenditures of
Board of Commissioners shall be limited in each year to the
amount appropriated by Ordinance. for that year.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
its passage, approval and publication.
