HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 8, Page 314, No Resolution NumberA RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE DEDICA`PION OF A PORTION OF BLOCK 52 of HARRIS, FLO URNOY AND TRIMBLE ADDITION TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, THE PROPERTY OF SAID CITY, FOR PARK PURPOSES; AND DIRECTING THAT.THE SANE BE TAKEN OVER BY THE BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS. WHEREAS, the City of Paducah is the owner of Block 52 of Harris, Flournoy, Trimble and Nortonls Addition to said City, which for many years has not been utilized for any purpose, and it is now desired that the same be used as a public park or playground subject to the control of the Board of Park Commissioners of said City; NOW, TIEREFORE- BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. That a portion of Block 52 of Harris, Flournoy and Trimble's Addition to the City of Paducah, Kentucky, except a strip 30 feet wide reserved on the south and west sides thereof respectively for street purposes, which portion of said block is particularly described as follows: "Beginning at the southwest corner of the intersection of 10th and Flournoy Streets, corner of Block 52; thence in a westerly direction along the south line of Flournoy Street 370 feet to the east line of 11th Street, if extended; thence along the east line of 11th Street, if extended, and towards Burnett Street 370 feet; thence in an easterly direction, and parallel with Flournoy Street 370 feet to the west property line of 10th Street; thence in a northerly direction and along the west property line of 10th Street 370 feet to the beginning," be, and the same is, hereby set apart and dedicated for use as a public park or play ground, subject to the supervision and control of the Board of Park Commissioners of said City. .1 SECTION 2.
