A RESOLUTION EXEMPTING FROM TAXATION THE RADUCAH ICE MANUFACTURING
COMPnNY, LOCATED NEAR UNION STATION IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
SECTION I.
That the Paducah Ice Manufacturing Company be, and it is hereby
exempted from the payment of ad -valorem taxes to the City of Paducah,
Kentucky for a period of five years from January 1st 1924, upon the
following described property, viz.
The grounds and manufacturing plant located near the Union
Station in the City of Paducah, Kentucky; and also the machinery, ap-
pliances and equipment situated and used in said factory, provided the
property hereby exempted must be used entirely and solely by the said
Paducah Ice ??arufacturing Company, for and in the manufacture of ice
at its plant aforesaid; and provided that said Paducah Ice Manufacturing
Company shall keep and maintain the pay -roll represented in its appli-
cation for tax -exemption.
SECTION 2.
It is expressly hereby declared that no part of the property of
said Paducah Ice idanufacturing Company situated in other parts of this
city is intended to be embraced herein; and further that by reason of
the fact that said Paducah Ice Manufacturing Company has absorbed
the factories or plants heretofore doing business in this city, that
said Paducah Ice Manufacturing Company is not hereby exempted from
the payment of I:icense Tax to said City.
SECTION 3.
This resolution shall be effective from its adoption and
approval.
