Oirdiflflance5 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE LEVY OR RATE OF TAXATION ON Rt OPERTY IN THE CITY Cb' PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR THE YEAR 1924 AND THE RATE OF THE POLL TAX, Y+ITH THE PURPOSE OF SAID LEVY HEREUNDER DEFINED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GENERaL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. SECTION I. That there is hereby levied for the year 1924, upon taxable property within the City of Paducah, Kentucky, real and personal, an ad-volorem tax of One Dollar and Fifty Centp ($1.50) i pursuant to Section 157 of the State Constitution, and Seventy Five (75�) Cents pursuant to the State Constitution and Statutes of Kentucky, to defray the expenses of maintaining the Schools, and Fifteen (15�) Cents pursuant to said Constitution and Statutes for the purpose of pay- ing the interest on the School Improvement Bonds and to create a Sink- ing Fund for the payment of said bonds at maturity, making a total of Two Dollars and Forty Cents 0;2.40) on each One Hundred Dollars worth of said real and personal property in the City- of Paducah, Kentucky; and there is also hereby levied a poll tax of One Dollar and Fifty Cents 01.50) on each male resident of the City of Paducah over 21 years of age for the year 1924. SECTION. 2. That the rate of taxation for each item of expenditure, as heretofore apportioned and set out by Ordinance, shalI be on each One Hundred Dollars worth of property, as follows, to-rit: Per X100.00 Assessed Valuation CIM.- s Schools .75 School Improvement Bonds ..15 Interest and Sinking Fund ..2669 Executive Department .7257 Police Department .1519 Fire Department .1964 Light Plant and Street Lights .0793 Pater Rentals .0575 Market House .0129 Engineering Department .0181 Sewers and Plumbing Insp:ctor .0174 Costs and Suits .0333 Parks Library .0129 Interest on Bills Payable .0278 Wharf Iviasters Salary .00.73 Board of Public works (Salary) .0003 City Scales .0011 Oak Grove .0045 City Jail .0262 Riverside uospital .0119 Health Department .0814 Charity .0413 Streets Maintenance, New Construction •0280 Contingent Fund .2677 .0297 i' No. W Orclinanc�s SECTION 3, That all revenue derived from licenses or other sources collected and paid to the Treasurer shall be distri- buted to their respective accounts in the same proportion as the ad-volorem tax, as hereinbefore provided for, except sources of revenue which have not been considered in making up the apportion - :rent Ordinance, and such revenue shall be credited to the Department through which such course of revenue is collected. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in frrce from and after its passage, approval and publication.
