Be it ordained b;- the General Council o'" the Cit;, of
Faducah, 2.entucky;
Seetior, I. shat the deputy jailor of the cite of laducah,
!er;tuck, , be ar.d he is hereby charged it addition to such other du-
ties as may be assigned to him, ,vith the custodT and control ol city
prisoners, xho may be compelled to labor while eraac�ed in clear.ir,g
streets, alleys or other public places, mid in the loir;az of at.,y
public work directed by order of the Board of Iublie iorks. aa_i d
deppty jailor shall see that said lrisoi,er.s per=form the duties
assi=t.c:1 to them as.l shall keep a record and make r.aport of the time
that each of said prison.-�rs are required to serve b;; such labor.
Section. £. amid deputy jailor shall supervise the doing
of such public :,toric as may be assi,^-:ed to him for the -corking of city
prisor.evs thereon, in accordance -rith the direction and orlers of
