of the City of I'adueah,-lontucky, that there is to be constructed, a. lock
and -dam for the purpose of improvin-r the channel of the Ohio River, and,
THAT, it is at present contemplated b- the 'lar .Departmert to con-
struct this J..ock and Dam about five (5) miles above the City of Iaducah,
�Iand that, (Iu.rin? low water there is only a small pact ;on of the h.rbor in
the City of Iaducah that is available for thr l•ndinm of boats ani bares,
and th!i t follo`,einr the construction of the Loch and_ Dam, the river b^-,lo.v
