Ordinance No. j A RESOLUTIOR1RELI]MUG C iTAIN EI'.PLOY ;LS� OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH rt", KENTUCKY, FROM FURTHER DUTY, WITHOUT PAY, EFFECTIVE APRIL 1, 1922- wHIM EAS, owing to the fact that the anticipated revenue and in- come of the City of Paducah, Y,entucky, for the year 1922, is insufficient to retain the number of employees now employed by the City, and meet the obligations of the City; and, HEREAS, owing to the fact that the indebtedness of the City of Paducah, at this time, is ')1,255,500.00, and that the City of Paducah, by its Apportionment Ordinance, could not take care of the number of em- ployees heretofore employed by the City; and, WHEREAS, owing to the fact that it is deemed necessary and pro- per, and absolutely essential for the financial welfare of the City to reduce the number of men in the Police Department from twenty-seven to twenty, and the number of men in the Fire Department from thirty-one to i twenty-six, and to reduce the number of employees in other departments of the City, as provided in an ordinance entitled, "AN ORDTIvTANCE PROVIDING .skill AUTHORIZING THAT THE NUIdB3R OF �q"PLOY3P'.S 1TO'." EI:1TLOY� BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. BE DECFEASED," adopted by the Board of Commissioners on Parch 27th, 1922, and published March 28th, 1922 in the Official Newspaper;'. NOTV, THEREFORE, - BE IT RESOLVED BY THE: BOARD OF 00I.11TSSIONMS OF THE CITY OF PP.DUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. i That Mert Ratcliffe, Willie Eich, F. H. Pruess, John R. Draffen and 17illiam Rosser be relieved from further duty, without pay, as firemen in the Wire Department of the City of Paducah. Kentucky, to be effective April 1st, 1922, and that Ed. Sanders, Hugh Garrett, E. TV. Stewart, Sam Howell, Lonnie Rudolph, Guy looney and -V. H. Poore be relieved from further, duty, without pay, as policemen of the Police Department of the City of Paducah, Tentucky, effective April 1, 1922, for the reasons stated herein. i i SECTION 2.
