SECTION 2.
The purchaser of this franchise or privilege shall furnish
to the Cit;;- of Iaduoah, free of rent, lb telephones of similar
equipment zc d service as that furnished its patrons in said
i :xid free of cost to the City, said telephones to be nlaccd

SECTION 5.
The City of raducah shall have the privilege of erecting and
uaintaining its police aiid :"ire alarm, vires on the poles of the
purchaser of this franchise, but the sante shall be erected and
maintained in such mamier as not to interfere v.ith the °::fres and
cables of the said purch:.ser.

Public Orlcs of the City of Paducah, �,nd all fixtures placed therc.on
shall be safe, and erected in a substantial manner, 4nd shall be as
neat in appearaice as may be reasonably possible.
SECTION 5.
The purchaser of this franchise or pri.vi.lege agrees to
protect the Cite of Paducah against an,,, loss or damage to any person
or property in consequence of any act or omission of said purchaser
during the constnictioil, maintenance end operation of swiel telephone
plant.
SECTION 6.
That the purchaser of this franchise or priviler'e shall
have the right to sell or transfer the same, but the sa.7ae shall riot
be sold to any e. -=sting company r1071, or hereafter operating in the
city of Paducah, v:ithout t.r_e consent of the Board of Commissioners
of the City of Paducah.
SECTION 7.
The purchaser -of this franchise or privileEe shall pay the
expenses. incurred in publishing and ..dvertising this Ordinance, and
the sale to be held theroundcr; and the bid of no person, firm or
corporation :ill be entertained or accepted y:hich has not, prior to
the ranking of said bid, deposited ith the i::ayor of the City of
Paducah, either cash or certified check for the sura of Five Hundred
(w500.00) Dollars, to be forfeited in the eve:it the purchaser de- ,
clines to comnly v:ith_ the terms of said sale within 5 days after the
ratification of same by the Board Of Commissioners of the City of
Paducah.
SECTION 8.
Upon the passa re , approvaluild publication of this
Ordinance, the Ioiayor is hereby authorized and directed to advertise .
this franchise or privilege for sale in the official newspaper of
the City of Paducah, stati;lr, the time and p1L-ce, and offer for sale
this franchise or privilege, and sell the sazme to the highest and
best bidder-, reporting his action to the next meeting of the Board
