TUREAS, the anticipated revenue and income of the Cite of Paducah, lentucky, for the year 1922, is insufficient to retain all of the employees, now employed by the City, and meet all of the obliFa- tions of said City; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners deem it advisable and necessary to decrease the number of employees now employed by said City and , WHEREAS, it is absolutely necessary that the expenses of the City be curtailed; NOT, THEREFORE, - BE IT OMA712D BY 'ME BOARD OF 000.2TISS TO111,22S OF THE CITY OF P.LDUCAH, P:::1^UC1CY: SECTION 1. That the number of employees in the Police Department be decreased from twenty-seven (27) to twenty (20). S33T ION 2. That the number of employees in the Fire Department be decreased from thirty-one (31) to twenty-six (26). No. Ordinance No. SEC T ION 3. That the offices of Public Health Nurses, Fly Trap Inspector, Electrician and Assistant Motor Nechanic, be, ard the same are hereby abolished. SECTION 4. That the offices of Day Sergeants and Night Sergeants of Police are hereby abolished. SHOTTOF 5. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict herewith are, to the extent of such conflict, hereby repealed. SECTIOY 6.
