BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF 001,1.4ISSION.MS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, K.L:NTUCKY: SECTION 1. The Commissioner of Public Property shall be the Purchasing Arent for the City of Paducah, Kentucky; anl, as such APent, shall purchase all supplies for the City. Each Commissioner, when in need of supplies to be used in his Department, shall file with said Purchas- ing, Ac'erit an itemized statement of the supplies so needed. It shall be the duty of the Purchasing AP.-ent, after said statement � filed with him, to purchase said supplies ns quickly as possible, and for the low- est and best price obtainable. Said Purchasinp Agent shall keep in his office a Requisition Book, and shall issue requisitions for all City supplies so purchased by him, and all requisitions must be sicned by the Purchasinc Agent, and all bills for supplies, so purchased, shall be approved by him. SECTION 2. The rurchasing Aq(,nt shall file with the Board of Commissioner on the first of each and every month, a :aritten statement, showino- the supplies so purchased by him and the amount paid therefor, and the de- partments to which same are to be charged. S'M TO1T 3. �;ach Commissioner, -:alien in need of equipment for his depart- ment, shall file aith the Purchasinc A,zent a :written statement, showing the kind aryl character of equipment so needed, r.nl after such statement has been filed, it shall be the luty of the Furchasiwz Argent to purchad all eouipment to be used by sr:id 0ity, but before he purchases any egidpment, he shall report to the Board of Commissioners the kind of equipment to be purcha.-iel, ^.nd the i`rice to be paid therefor, together Ordinance No. kith his recommendation. The Board of Commissioners shall pass upon the report filed by the Furchasina Arent, and shall au.thorize and direct said Purchasing Agent to purchase whatever equipment- is necessary to be used by each of the departments of the City, and the prices to be paid therefor. SECTION 4. The Purchasinm Agent shall not, at any time, be permitted to pur- chase supplies in excess of One Thousand (''41,000.00) Dollars, except as i provided by ordinance. SECTTON 5.
