Police Clerk;- There shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners
a Police Clerk., with Police loiters, who shall receive a salary of Seven-

tain his office in connection •^ith the police he:.dquarters, to keep the
books and records maintained in the office of the dssistant Chief of
Police or police headqu rters,cnd to perform such other duties as may

Stenographer;- Th -re shell be .pointed by the Board of Comrnissionors
one Stenographer for the offi-ce of the Commissioner of Public ':.orks,
at a sale:ry Forty -Five (5.945.00) Dollars per month who shall perform such
duties as mcy be required of her, from time to time, by the Commissioner
of Public -:orks and Board of Commissioners.
Section 7.
The Commissioner of Public V.Orks is further authorized and empo-7erect
�rfto employ from time to time, aurin the progressnstreet %ork, or other
work coming under his supervision, inspector.,, who shall receive a cL.-_
at the rate of Seventy -'sive (w�'75.00) Dollars per month during the time of
such employment.
Section 8.
Except as otherwise providad 3rtlaar or ordinence, the Commissioner o £
each Department shell be authorized temperorally to fill such va-aeacies
as may occur in such Denartemnt, to be by him reported at the next regular
meeting of the Board of Cominisioners, subject to their aproval.
Section 9.
Each of the above no.med employees of the •repoctive departments of tthe
City of Paducah shall be rnd they are hereby constituted employees only,
and shall have no tenure of office, and shwll be removed atthe pleasure
of the Board of Commissioners, and each of whom shall, ^chem required to
do so, perforin such duties in any department of the City other than the
one in which they are regularly er^ l -n ed, but the taking off an employee
from one department to the .-mother for work shall only be done -::ith the
concurance of the Commissioners in charge of the department in -:;hick such
emplWyee is -regularly employed, except upon orders of theBoard of
Comm siioners.
Section 10.
The Commissioner of each department shr,ll maj•o <nd enforce such
