AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE CLOSING OF THE FIPTEEIT FOOT ALLEY
RUNNING FROIJ THE BENTON'GRAVEL ROAD THROUGH THE PROPERTY OF FJ. R. JCSTES.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE 11&YOR AND COI,ETISSIOI:ERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCA.H :
Section 1. That the fifteen foot alley running from the Benton
Gravel Road, through the property of Y7. R. Jones, in what is known as
"Mechanicsburg," is hereby discontinued a.nd closed.
Section 2. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that from and after the
passage and approval of this ordinance, and from and after the judgment of
the ylcCracken Circuit Court, based on this ordinance, said above mentioned
alley be abandoned, as a public thoroughfare of the City of Paducah, and
permanently closed.
Section S. BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the City Solicitor, w
his representative be, and he is directed and ordered to file suit in the
I:?cCracken Circuit Court, upon the passage and approval of this ordinance,
seeking the judgment of said Court to discontinue said above mentioned
alley.
Section 4. This ordinance to take effect from its passage and
approval.
Adopted- by the Board of Commissioners October 1, 1919.
