E'0 IT ORDAINED BY Thr. BOARD OF COLT,4ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, X:-: NTUCKY: Section 1. That the following prices shall be charged by the City Reigher of the City of Paducah, Kentucky for weighing 'the hereinafter named articles on the city scales of the City of Paducah: Four (4) horse wagon and load thirty-five (.35) cents each. Two (2) horse wagon and load twenty-five (.25) cents each. One (1) horse wagon and load fifteen (.15) cents each. Trucks .. ... ..... Twenty-five (.25) cents each. Horses, mules and cattle fifteen (.15) cents each. Hogs, sheep, calves and goats ten (.10) cents each. Section 2. It shall be the duty of each person, firm, company or corporation seeking to have any of the above named articles weighed upon the said city scales, or the owner of such articles weighed upon the city scales, to pay to the City Weigher the prices charged as above set out, immediately after the same have bean weighed, and certificate of weight furnished by the City Weigher; and any person, firm, company or corpora- tion seeking to have any of said articles weighed, or owning said property which is so weighed, who shall refuse or fail to pay therefor as herein specified, shall be fined not less than five (,:5) dollars nor more than ten (410) dollars for each offense. Section 3. It shall be the duty of the City Weigher to inquire from the person in charge or possession_ of any of the articles or property sought to be weighed, as to who is the owner thereof, and if the person in charge or possession thereof at said time is not the owner thereof, the City 'Neigher may, in his discretion, require the owner thereof to furnish him a statement or certificate, in writing, showing who is the owner of said property, and may refuse to permit said property or articles to he weighed until said certificate is furnished to him as above provided. . Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its passage, record and publication. Section 5. A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed, in so far as same conflict herewith. Adopted by the Board of Commissioners June 9, 1919.
