HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 7, Page 430, No Resolution NumberOrdinance '.',MREAS, a Perry privilege and franchise has been granted to the VICKERS FERRY COMPANY by the County Court of McCracken County to operate a ferry across the Tennessee River, from a point a.t or near the foot of &Iizabeth street to a point on the opposite shore in Livingston County; and, MJREREAS, application Ins been im fte to the City of Paducah by the Vickers Ferry Coinoany asking- the City to permit them to land at or near the foot of Elizabeth Street, and to build a, dock at or near the foot of said street in the Tennessee River at which to land its ferry boat, which dock so built by it it is to have the exclusive right to use, but not the exclusive right to land at the foot of Elizabeth Street but only at this dock; and, YMREAS, the said Ferry Company agrees to make six round trips per day from the point in Paducah to the point in Livingston County, HOtiI,THEREFORE, be .it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah that such rermission be granted to said Ferry Com-cany to build such individual dock., and use same as above stated so long as it complies Stith its agreement to ma.ke at le=ast six round trips per day between said points covered by its franchise or privilege.
