That the i;.ayor and Commissioner of Finance be and they are hereby authorized and directed to borrow for the use 2nd - benefit of the City of Paducah, Kentucky the stun of seventy-five thousand dollars at 5ti;o per annum interest from Eyer E: Company of I?ew York City, and they are further authorized and directed 'to execute note of the City of Paducah, I'entucky payable January 5, 1919, pledging the collections of taxes for the last half of the year of 1918 as security for the payment of said note. N WHEREAS, the Paducah Cooperage Company has erected a fence along its property line on Layers street in the city of Faducah; and, i'HEREAS, after some of the posts had been put in the ground, and before the fence v:as completed, the Board of Commissioners, in committee, visited the premises of said Company but did riot tale any express action concerning the erection of said fence, either granting, approving, or denying the richt to erect same; now, therefore, 'BE IT RESOLVED BY 12EE BOLED Up CUL11ISSIOId ZnS OF iiia CITY 0c' PADUCaii, Ka' =0KY: Section 1. That the fence erected alongside of the props rty of ` the Paducah Cooperage Company in Meyers street, in the city of Paducah, by said Company, on September 9th, 1918, is and vias not erected or con- structed by the consent of the Commissioners, and that said Board of Commissioners neither gave their consent nor passed upon the question. in any manner, so that the status o the title of the property is not in any ray changed by any action of said Board of Commissioners con- cerninz the erection of said fence.
