WHEREAS, the construction of sidewalks, curbs and gutters in the section of the City of Paducah hereinafter described, has disturbed the drainage to such an extent that it has become necessary to construct storm sewers to take care of this drainage; and, WHEREAS, the accumulation o f water in said section of town after rains is excessive and unusual; and, MIEREAS, The Paducah & Illinois Railroad Company is contemplating the immediate construction of tracks in said section of the city, which will further congest the water in this area; therefore, Be it Resolved by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky: Section 1. That the building of a storm water sewer to drain the section of the City of Paducah hereinafter bounded is a necessity. Section 2. That the Commissioner of Public forks is hereby instructed and authorized to construct storm water sewers and intakes on the following streets, to -wit: Beginning at Eighth and Jones streets, extending down Eighth street to Jackson street, thence down Jackson street to the River. Section 3. That the cost of construction of said sewer be paid No:!-ZloL Ordinance No— for for from the Special Sewer Fund. Section 4. Thia Resolution to take effect ten days after its passage and record. Introduced by Board of Commissioners 1_pril 23, 1918. Passed by the Board of Commissioners April 30, 1918.
