Be it Ordained by the Board of Commissioners of the City of

Paducah, Kentucky:
Section 1. That subsection three of section five of an ordinance
entitled, ",;n Ordinance Providing .for the nppointraent or ietention, by
the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, of Certain City Officers,
.agents and Employees of the City of Paducah, Xontuchy, and Fixing their
Salaries, Powers and Duties," passed by the Board of Commissioners
January 29, 1918, be, and the same is hereby amended by striking out the
following words and figures: "Ten Hundred and Eighty (k1080.00) Dollars
per year," and inserting in lieu thereof the following words and figures,
tr--,.,it: "Twelve Hundred (.d,1200.00) 15ollars per year," -so that said
subsection when so amended shall read as Follows, to -wit:
Subsection 3.
CLERX. There shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners
one Clerk for the Commissioner of Public CiorksI of •ice, at a salary of
Twelve Hundred (:11200.00) Dollars per year, payable in monthly install-
ments, and who shall perform such duties as are required of him, from
time to time by the Commissioner of Pabli¢ {'forks and the Board of
Commissioners.
Section 2 This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage Lind record.
