P,IDUCiIR, KENTUCKY:
Section 1.
There may be established under the direction and supervision of the
Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, in said city,
such milk depots as shall seem expedient in regulating the milk supply and
sanitary condition thereof, and fixing the price at which milk may be sold
therein.
Section 2.
These depots are established by reason of the unusual condition
obtaining in consequence of the war, and for the safety, welfare and com-
fort of the citizens of the City of Paducah.

That the Board of Health or Lieat & Idilk Inspector shall issue a
permit for the operation, conduct and carrying on of said milk depots.
Section 4.
That any person desiring to operate such milk depots shall agree,
before setting up same, to abide by the ordinances of the City of
Paducah regulating the handling and sale of milk, and shall consent that
the Board of Commissioners may fix the price of milk to be sold therein.
Section 5,
It shall be unlawful for any one conducting such depot to fill or
re -fill with sweet milk or cream any glass bottle, with intent to sell or
vend such milk, unless such glass bottle is a sanitary, transparent bottle,
which shall be first thoroughly cleansed and sterilized, or unless a non-
refillable receptacle be used, and they must be perfectly sterile when
filled. All such bottles shall be sealed with a suitable cap or stopper,
and shall be sealed immediately after filling the same, which sealinfi and
filling shall be done in said depot, the sanitary condition of which has
been approved by this Board.
Section 6.
It shall be the duty of any one operating such depot, to keep on
hand a supply of sanitary, transparent glass bottles, which may be sold to
patrons buying milk in said depot in said bottles, and the price of said
bottles shall be refunded upon request to said patrons, provided said
bottles are returned to said milk depot- but it shall be the duty of all
J patrons of said depots, in returning bottles to be exchanged for milk in

other bottles, to return said bottles in a sterile condition.

That said milk depots and premises thereof shall be kept in a
thoroughly sanitary condition, in conformity with the ordinances hereto-
fore passed regulating the handling and sale of milk.
Section 8.
All dairies or producers selling or furnishing milk to such depots
shall be open at all times to the inspection of the 1:eat & P.ii.lk Inspector
of the City of Paducah or any officer representing him, and said premises
shall be kept in a sanitary condition, as required by ordinances heretofore
enacted.
Section 9.
The delivery of milk to such depots, the handling of same, filling
of bottles, and sanitary measures affecting same, shall be subject to
any and all reasonable rules prescribed by the Board of health of the
City of Paducah.
Section 10.
It shall be the duty of the i,_eat & Milk Inspector to enforce
this ordinance, and to immediately report all violations of same to the
Board of Commissioners.
Section 11.
Any person, firm, company or corporation violating any of the
provisions hereof shall be fined not less than ten (,.10) nor more than
fifty G 50) dollars for each and every offense, and each sale or
attempted sale shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
Section 12.
This Ordinance shall in no prise be construed as repealing any
ordinance or section thereof heretofore passed regulating the sale or
handling of milk in the City of Paducah.
