V,HEREAS, in accordance with said ordinance it was provided that the cost of the construction of said sidevralks, curbs, gutters, severs, intakes, manholes and catch basins shall be paid for by the abutting property ovrners on both sides of said street, except that portion to be paid by the City of Paducah, as required by lav:; and, 1,7HEREAS, pursuant to said ordinance, a contract :as entered into by and between G. V;. Katterjohn, of the city of Paducah. State of Kentucky, and the said City of Paducah, for the construction theredf, on the 20th day of Sept. 1917; and, No.�f— Ordinance No.__. i �- 11.3 TMEREAS, said contract has been completed in all respects, and the work thereof finished and accepted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, on the 5" day of Iiovember 1917, pursuant to reeomme nda- j tion made therefor by the Commissioner of Public Vorks of the City of Paducah; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COI.I::ISSIOIIL;RS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: i Section 1. That all of the property on both sides of I•iadison street from he vres curb line of Seventeenth street, or Fountain Avenue, to the wrest! curb line of Aiineteenth street. and on I.adison street, on the north side thereof, from the wrest curb line of idineteenth street to a point extending tv.o hundred and eighty (280) feet wrest, in the City of Paducah, be and the same is hereby assessed the sum of X1.9785 per front foot for the cost of construction of said sidevralks, curbs, gutters, servers, manholes, int;hes, catch basins and drive-«sys. Section 2. That all of the funds derived from the assessment of said property aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of paying off the. Special tax bills issued against said property or such bonds as may be issued by ,the City of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes. Section 3. That pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes, as amended and re-enacted by an het of the General Assembly of the Common- wealth of Kentucky of 1910, entitled "Aid hCT TO ll,i?ID oID =-IsidnCi SECTIONS 3094, 3096, 3097, 3098, 3099, 3100, 3101 and 3102 OF '.h.3 KENTUCKY STATUTES, Ri:LATIiiG TO Ti!� CONTROL SID I1.Pr.OVi:1=T Or PUBLIC WAYS, LANDINGS, V.iiARVES, G_LOUi:D'S A;D SIDEC,ALKS IN CITIES OF THD SECOND CLASS," said assessments may be -at the option of the pro -party o.rners- payable in cash ri.thin thirty (30) days from the date c£ the passage and recording of this Ordinance, or in ten (10) annual installments, pursuant to the provisions of said Statute. Section 4. In order to provide a fund for the immediate pawrient of the c'o�hat portion' o£ the Special assessments herein provided for, :hioh are to be paid on the instal lment-palmient-plan, as hereinbefore provided for, the City of Paducah shall issue and sell Improvement Bonds, and to secure the payment o£ :which bonds there is hereby pledged such taxes and liens or the property assessed herein for the payment of the principal and interest on such bonds, but such bonds shall not be sold for less than par, and the proceeds thereof applied exclusively* to pa;7nent for the improvement of said sidewalks, curbs, gutters, manholes, catch basins, intakes and sec•ers as hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds shall be issued and shall bear interest, and shall be payable in accordance r.it_ the provisions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes as amended and re-enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentuchy for 1910, and contained in said Act hereinbefore mentioned.
