HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 7, Page 317, No Resolution NumberWHEREAS, an emergency now exists concerning the laying of the water pipes in Jefferson street from Eleventh to Seventeenth street, and there being a controversy as to whose duty it is to lay said connecting pipes from the mains to the property lines of the private property owners - now, therefore, in order that it may not be necessary hereafter to tear up said streets where they are now being permanently reconstructed - BE IT RESOLVED BY THE B04RD OF ColyMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY. Section 1. That the Commissioner of Public ;orks is hereby ordered and directed to at once notify the Paducah Plater Company to commence the lay- ing and connecting of said pipes between its mains and the property line within three days from this date, and in the event that the said Water Company refuses or fails to do so, then the said Commissioner is authorized and directed to at once commence the laying of said connecting pipes between the mains and the property lines, keeping a strict account of the cost thereof, the same to be hereafter charged and collected either from the 117ater Company or the private property owners as the Courts may deter- mine.
