Section 1. That Sub -section three (3) of Section three (3) of ordi-
nance 49 of the City of Paducah, entitled: "tili ORDINANCE PROVIDING OB _

passed by the Board of Commissioners Januar* 3, 1916, and recorded. by
H. K. Hazelip, Clerk, January 3, 1916, be, and the sine is hereby
amended by striking therefrom the words and figures as follov,s, to-r'it:
"Six Hundred (V600.00) Dollars"
and inserting in lieu thereof "Seven Hundred and Eighty (t.1'780.00)
Dollars"- so that said sub -section when so amended Shall read as `
f0110e1S, to -Wit:
Sub -Section III.
FIRE The Board of Commissioners shall
appoint tWo operators for the fire alarm system of the city, at a salary
of Seven Hundred and Eighty (N780.00) Dollars a year, each, payable in
monthly installments. It shall be the duty of said operators to attend
to the operation of the Fire silarm System., during such hours as the
Commissioner of Public Safety may direct, and perform such other duties
as may be required of them by the Commissioner of Public Safety or
the Board of Commissioners.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passaF-e, record and publication.
