AN ORDINANCE AETENDING SUB SECTION THREE (3) OF SECTION TWO (2) OF AN
ORDINANCE ENTITLED, "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTEENT OR RE-
TENTION, BY THE BOARD OF COLTLTISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, OF CERTAIN
CITY OFFICERS, AGENTS AND ELTPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PAlU CAH, KENTUCKY,
AND FIXING THEIR SALARIES, POVIERS AND DUTIES, ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF
COMJISSIONERS JAN. 3, 1916, AND RECORDED JANUARY 3, 1916.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH,
KENTUCKY:
Section 1. That Sub -section three (3) of Section two (2) of an ordinance
entitled, "'AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OR RETENTION, BY
THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUC;2 , OF CERTAIN CITY
OFFICERS, AGENTS AND MPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, AND
FIXING THEIR SALARIES, POUERS AND DUTIES," passed by the Board of Com-
missioners January 3, 1916, and recorded January 3, 1916, be, and the
•same is hereby'amended by striking therefrom the words "a Treasurer and
Auditor", and inserting "an Auditor" in lieu thereof- and by striking
therefrom the words and figures, to Pit: "Sixteen Hundred ($1600.00)
dollars", and inserting, in lieu thereof, "Twelve Hundred (,,p1200.00)
dollars"- so that said Sub -section 3 when so amended shall read as follows,

AUDITOR. There shall be appointed by the Board of Commissioners an
Auditor, who shall receive a salary of Twelve Hundred (1200.00) Dollars
per year, and who shall perform such duties as are required of him by
the Commissioner of Public Finance and the Board of Commissioners, from
time to time.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage, record and publication.

A RESOLUTION TEIMINATING THE SERVICES OF THOUS GHOLSTON AS
JANITOR OF THE CITY HALL.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
That Thomas Gholston be .relieved of his duties as Janitor of
the City Hall, and his services teiinated.

R E S 0 L U T I 0 N.
WHEREAS, a large number of colored citizens of Paducah have
recommended Martin Leath for the position of Janitor at the City Hall,
THEREFORE- BE IT RESOLVED, that said Martin Leath be and he is hereby
appointed to said position of Janitor of the City Hall until further
orders by the Board of Commissioners.
