IiHERE_YS, the Board Of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky has heretofore, on the 14th day of hugust, 1916, adopted an Ordinance entitled "ti; ORDLI:ITCE PFOVIDIIIG'FOR THE II:iPitOVE,.a.IIT OF JONES STREET FFOLi TWELFTH STREET TO THIFTEEIITH STREET, IL THE CITY OF PnDUCiiH, 1MIITUCI-Y, BY GR-DIIIG �ND,GRnVELLIIIG S -LE, a!ID PEOVIDIIIG TH.:T S --;ID PF.OVELM,"T Sht.LL BE L.iiDE UPON THE Tl; YE:R P:.YI.1E1IT PL.1411, and iiIIEREnS, said Ordinance provides that the cost of the constriction of said street shall be paid for by the abutting property oriners on both sides thereof, except that portion to be paid by the City of Paducah, as required by lar,*, and CIHERE-S, pursuant to said ordinance a contract was, on the 20th day of September 1916, entered into by and between Richard Bell and the i City of Paducah, Kentucky for the construction of said street, and 77lHEREAS, said contract has been completed in all respects and the improvement therein provided for has been finished' and accepted by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, on the 6th day of December 1916, pursuant to recommendation made therefor by the Commissioner of Public corks of said City, now, therefore - BE IT OFD_7IIIED BY THE BO,+RD OF COI;Z.:ISSIOIIEFS CF T11E CITY OF PADUC.n, MITUCEY: Sec. 1. That all the property on both sides of Jones street from 'twelfth to Thirteenth street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be and the st-ie is hereby assessed the sum of fifty-six (56y) cents per front _oot for the construction of said street by grading and gravelling sine. Sec. 2 That all the funds derived from the assessment of said property aforesaid shall be used for the purpose of paying off the special tas bills issued apainst said property or such bonds as may be issued by the City of Paducah pursuant to Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes. Sec. 3. In order to provide -, :fund for the immediate pLyf.iont of the cost of'that portion ol the special asoesm,onto herein provided :,'Q,, vhich are to be paid 01-1 the iiIStallMellt-p4,VMCft-1)1&-I-i, as hereinbefore provided for, the City of Paducah shall issue and sell Improvement bonds, and to secure the payment of which bonds there is hereby pledged such taxes and liens on the property assessed herein for the payment of the principal and interest of such bonds, but such bonds shall not be sold for less than par, and the proceeds thereof applied exclusively to the -payment of the Improvement of said street as hereinbefore mentioned, and such bonds shall be issued and shall bear interest, and shall be payable in accordance with the provisions of Section 3101 of the Kentucky Statutes as amerded and re-enacted by the General "ssembly of the Commonwealth of Xentucloj for 1910 and contained in said Act hereinbefore mentioned. Sec. 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and the recording of smie. Passed by the Board of Commissioners December 6, 1916. Recorded by H. D.
