That the following named persons be and they are hereby ap-
pointed as patrolmen and patrel wagon drivers of 'the City of Paducah,
as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESG;LVED that all persons now serving in the
Police Department as patrolmen and patrol drivers, and whose names do
not appear in this Resolution, be and they are hereby dismissed from the
Department and their services terminated.
BE IT FURTHER -RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take imme-
diate effect, and the officers :,hose names appear hereon shall be under
the immediate control and authority of the Commissioner of Public Safety,
subject to the orders of the Chief of Police, and said officers to be
assigned to their respective positions, either as uniform or plain
s
clothes men, as designated by the Commissioner of Public Safety and tre
Chief of Police.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of office of each of said
above named persons shall be at the pleasure of the Board of Commission-
ers, but they may be suspended or discharged at any time by the Commission-
ers,
of Public Safety for cause- in such event said Corarrissior_er of Public
Safety reporting his action to the Board.
!. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Commissioner of Public Safety
shall have the authority to employ other persons on the police Department
d -not to exceed three in number- in cwse of necessity or emergency.
