HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinances Book 7, Page 196, Ordinance Number 66No. Ordinance No. b AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE PRICE OR RATE TO BE PAID BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH FOR THE PRIIITLNG OF ALL ORDINANCES, RESOLUTIONS, NOTICES OF SALES OF TAX BILLS AND OTHER NOTICES AND ADVERTISING MI ITER, AND DESIGNATIIJG THE TYPE TO BE USED THEREFOR. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COLI-?ISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, ZENTUCKY; , Sec. 1. That hereafter all ordinances, resolutions and notices of sale of tax bills of the City of Paducah shall be classed as display advertising matter, and the price to be paid the official newspaper for the publication of same is hereby fixed at the rate of twenty-five (25�) cents per linear inch, single column, to be set in solid non- pareil type, twelve (12) lines to the inch, measure thirteen (13) pica erns, for the first insertion, and twenty (20�) cents per linear inch for each subsequent insertion. Sec. 2. All short notices for bids, or other notices other than above set out, shall be classed as simulating reading matter, and shall be paid for at the rate of six (6�1) cents a line for the first insertion and four (q) cents a line for each subsequent insertion; for the sari -.e character of notices set in black face capitals the rate shall be ten (10y) cents a line for the first insertion and seven and one-half (72y) cents a line for each subsequent insertion. See. 3. For all advertising matter inserted in newspapers other than the official ne^spaper of the City of Paducah the rate shall be as follows: If 2000 inches are used in one year, 25� per inch If 1000 inches are used in one year, 26� per inch If 500 inches are used in one year, 27� per inch If 300 inches are used in one year, 28V per.inch Provided, however, that at the end of one year should the City of Paducah use as much as Seven Hundred and Fifty ($750.) Dollars in advertising in such other newspaper than the official newspaper, they_ the same rate shall be charged by such other news- paper as is herein charged for insertions in the official newspaper. Sec. 4. If One Thousand (1000) lines of reading notices are used in one year, in non -official newspapers, the rate shall be sight (6V) cents a line for the first insertion and six (6V) cents a line for all subsequent insertions; if i4:o Thousand (2000) lines of reading notices are used in one year the rate shall be six (6¢) cents a line for the first insertion and four (4�) cents a line for all subsequent insertions, and if such notices are set in black face capitals the rate shall be twice the price indicated in this section, except as hereinbefore set out. 3 ? �. r Ordinance No. -G Sec. 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance, in so far as same conflict herewith, are hereby repealed. Sec. 6.
