AN ORDINANCE FIXING TILE LEVY OR RATE OF TAXATIOIt OIi PROPERTY
IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, irEI1TUCKY FOR THE YEAR 1916, LNI) THE RATE OF
1-4 the poll TAX, WITH THE PURPOSES OF SAID LEVY THEREUIIDER DEFIIIED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIZIISSIOUERS OF THE CITY OF
PADUCAHI- =TITUCKY:
Sec. I. That there is hereby levied :for the year 1916, upon the
taxable property within the City of Paducah, Kentuck:-, real and-
personal,
ndpersonal, an advalorem tax of One Dollar and Forty-five cents
pursuant to Section 157 0£ the State Constitution, and Forty cents
(40), pursuant to Section 26, Chapter 137 0£ the 1912 i.cts of the
General Assembly of the Commom-realth of Kentucky, making ;1.85 on
each one hundred dollars north of said real and personal property in
the City of Paducah, Kentucky; and t;Ere is also levied a poll
tax of One Dollar and Fifty cents 01.50) on each male resident of
the City of Paducah over twenty-one (21) years of age for the year
1916.
Sec. 2. That the rate of taxation for each item of exp:nditure,
as heretofore apportioned and set out by ordinance, shall be on
each one hundred dollars worth of property, as follows, to=wit:

Sec. 3. That all revenue derived from licenses or other sources
collected and paid to the Commissioner of Finance shall be dis-
tributed to their respective accouizts in the same proportion as
the advalorem tax, as hereinbefore provided for, except sources of
revenue which have not been considered in making up the Apportion-
ment Ordinance- and in the event of the collection of any revenue
which was not considered in making up said Apportionment Ordinance,
then such revenue shall be credited to the department thru '::hich
such source of revenue is collected.
Sec. 4. This Ordinance shall take effect from and after its
passage and record.
