WHEREAS, it is deemed expedient and necessary to estab- lish a systeia by which orders may be issued by each or any of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah, to pay accounts for current expenses or extraordinary expenses which it is not practi- cal to pay at the regular monthly and semi-monthly pay days. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOiuRD OF COI.tMISSIOI'1ERS OF THE CITY OF PnDUC.LiH, 1diITUCEY: Section 1. That from and after the rassap:e and record of this Rose- lution, each Commissioner of the City of Paducah is hereby author- ized to issue cash orders upon the Covanissioner of Finance of the City of Paducah, to be withdrawn from the appropriate funds of the City of Paducah, to pay such bills or current expenses or extraor- dinary expenses of the City of Paducah as may be necessary, and which cannot conveniently be held over for payment until the next regular rionthl; or semi-monthly pay day of the City. Section 2. But no such cash order shall be given except in case of emergency, and on the face of such cash order the emergency exist- ing shall be stated. Such cash order shall also state the account to which same is to be charged, and shall be signed by the Commissioner in charge of the department to which such cash order is charged; except -in cases of extreme emergency, or the sickness or inability of the Commissioner of said department to act- the I..ayor, or the vice -mayor, in his absence, may issue such cash order.. Section 3. Do cash order shall be issued to any employee of the City of Paducah to apply upon a salary or mages not then due or payable by the Qity, except in case of extreme emergency, and the emergency shall be stated on the cash order. Section 4. The Coi..,missioner of Finance is hereby ordered and directed not to honor or cash any cash orders dram upon him, unless same strictly comply with the terms of this Resolution. Section 5.
