CATCH BASINS AND SEWERS, ON BOTH SIDES DF JEFFERSON STREET FROM ELEVENTH STREET TO FOURTEENTH STREET, IN THE (:ITY OF PADUCAH KENTUCKY, Be it ordainec' by the Genoral. Council of -the City of Paducah, Kentucky: S®col, That the sidewalks, curbs and gutters, togather with all necessary manholeg intakes, catch basins and sowers therefor, on both sides of ,Jefferson street from Eleventh street to Fourteenth street, in the City of Paducah, Kentucky. -be, and they are hereby ordered to be constructed. Seco2, Said sidewalks and gutters shall be constructed of concrete material, and. the curbing therefor shall be of granite; and all of said work to be done in strict accordance with the plans, grades, specifications, vridths and profiles of the City Engineer, wade and provided by him for such 1,Lrpose, and all of which are adopted as a part of this ordinance as fully ao if embraced herein or attached hereto and rade a part hereof, and are marked "A0 for more spocific identification, Sec.3. That said work she•11 be constructed under the direction of the Board of Public Works and the supervision of the City Engineer, and shall be commenced at a tine _ designated by contract for the performance of said v(ork, and co-mpleted on or before 12 months after the passage, approval and publication of this ordinance. Sec,4, Tho cost of sucfi. construction of said sidev(alks, curbs and gutters, togather tfr with the necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins and saviors therefor, shall be paid for wholly by the property owners abutting or fronting thereon on both aides thereof, to be apportioned to and assessed against the property and pa?operty ov(ners abutting thereon on both sides thereof, according to the number of front feet abuttig thereon, except the corner lots abbuting upon said improvement shall pay for the entire cost of all intersections in addition 'to the construction immediately abutting said property. Sec,S,The contractor av(arded the contract for the work herein provided for, shall be paid only from the funds arizing from the special tax bills and assessments against the property abutting the improvement herein provided for, and in no other way; except, that the said contractor may be paid out of such bonds as may be issued in accordance with lav( of the City of Paducah, and for.the payment of which the tax bills and a�sc9 ss I,\`msy be Pledged by the said City of Paducah; and in no event 31 shall the said City of Paducah be liable to the contractor for the construction of any of the property herein provided for, except, that the said City of Paducah shall be liable to the contractor for the excess of fifty per eent (500) of the value of any property assessed dor the improvement of the vaork herein provided for.
