FROM YEISER AVENUE TO SOWELL AVENUE, AND ON HAYS AVEN,' UE FROM SOWELL AVENUE TO BRIDGE STREET; ON SOWELL AVENUE FROM ASHBROOK AVENUE TO HAYS o] -AVENUE; ON y1-1SER AVENUE FROM CLEMENTS STREET TO HAYS AVENUE; ON BRIDGE STREET FROM CLEMENTS STREET TO HAYS AVENUE; ON POWELL STREF_i' FROM CLEdENTS STREET TO HAYS AVENUE,, - IN THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, I Be it -ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah Kentucky, Sec,l, That the sidewalks, curbs and gutters, toga:pher with all necessary manholes, s intakes, cath basins and sewers thereof, on both sides of Clements street from Meyers) street to Bridge street; an Ashbrook Avenue from Yeiser Avenue to Sowell Avenue, and on Ashbrook Avenue from Sowell Avenue to Bridge street; on Hays Avenue from Yeiser x' Avenue to Sowell Avrinue, and on Hays Avenue from sowell Avenue to Bridge street; on in Sowell Arenue from Ashbrook Avenue to Hays Avenue; on Yeiser Avenue from Clements street to Hays Avenue; an Bridge street from Clements street to Hays Avenue;on Powell street from Clements street to Hays Avenue, -in the City of Paducah, Kentucky, be, r.c is und they are hereby ordered to be constructed, Sec.2, .Said sidewalks and gutters shall be constructed withcc.oncrete.material, and the curbing therec`_'"shall be of granite; and all of said work to.be done in strict accords, ance with the plans, grades, specifations, widths and profiles of the City Engineer, .made and provided by/,for such purpose, and all of which are adopted as a part of this; ordinance as fully as if embraced herein or attached hereto and made apart hereof, and are marked "A" for more specific identification, Sac,3,That said N�ork shall be constructed under tr.e direction of the Board. of Public Works and the supervision of the City Engineer, and shall be commenced at a time -desi- gnated by contract for the performance of said work, and completed on or before six (5) Months after the passage, approval and� public ationof this Ordinance, Sec.4.The cost of such construction of said sidewalks, curbs and gutters, togather with the necessary manholes, intakes, catch basins and sewers thereof, shall be paid for wholly by the property owners abutting or fronting thereon on both sides thereof,, to be apportioned to and assessed against the property and property owners abutting thereon on both sides thereof, according to the number of front feet abutting "whereon; except the corner lots abutting upon said improvement shall pay for the entire cost of all intersections in addition to the abutting. property immediately infront thereof.,; Sec.S,The contractor awarded the contract, for the work herein provided for shall be paid only from the funds arising from the special tax bills and assessments aga•anst the prop(�rty abutting the improvement herein provided for, and in no other mny;excepts that the said contractor may be paid out of such bonds as may be issued in accordance with law of the City of Paducah, and for the peymcrt, of wh0ch the tax bills and F-ssessment s may be pledged by the said City of Paducah; and in no event shall the said City of Paducah be liable to the contractor for the construction of 'any of the `property herein provided for except, that the said City of Paducah shall be liable to, the cofitractor for the excess of fifty per cent(50%) of the value of any property assessed for the improvement of the work herein provided for.
