THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY;AND ?;'ESCRIBINO A PENALTY FOR A VIOLATION HEREOF, Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky: Sec,I. That all property owners, owning property on either side of T=welfth street from Kentucky Avenue to Trimble Street, and on either side of Clay street from Thirteenth street to one-half way between Ninth and Tenth sti*eets, in the .City of Padthcalj, Kentucky, -shall be required to connect their property with the storm water and sanitary sewers of the City of Paducah, kentucky, on or before Ist,day of May 1910, Sec, 2, That such connections, and, eAvations mf.de therefor and n.atorial used therefor, shall be made in accordance with the general rules and regulations and ordinances of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, and of the Board of Public Works and. the Engineer and Sewer Departments of said City, as may be in existence, Se,; -3o Any person, firm, company or corporation violating this ordinance, shall be fined. not less than '10,00 nor more than ."25.00 and ;:ach dais violation heraif after the after the Ist, day of May 1910, shall be a separate and dis'cinct offense, See,4.This ordinance s;iall take effect from and after its pa.ss;.=i., r,,pproval and publication, AN ORDINANCE E,_F.MPTING THE JOHN HODGE COMPANY FROM THE PAYMENT OF MUNICIPAL AD VAL- OREM TAXES TO THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS, — f Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky: Sec. I. That from and after the passage,::-I.proval and publication of this ordim nd the John Hodge Company,a manufaeturinL-, company, of the City Of Padueah,Kentueky,shah,, be exempt from the pi�yment of municipal ad valorum taxes to the City of Paducah Kentucky, for a period of (5) five years;suh,;ect, however, to the following terms ai and conditions: lst. That said Jo n Hodge Comp ny stall at all times during the said five (5) year period, contintE to operate its plant, subject only to shut down caused from accidents, mishaps, breakages to machinery, fires, unavoid able casualties,strikes, riots and mobs, and such temporary scut down as is necessary to enable the company to make contemplated changes in the location of its machinery, or the installation of m w machinery, or other necessary repairs or changes, 2nd, That at all times during said five t5) year period, said John Hodge Company shall employ not less than 10 people. Sec,2. Should the said John �fodge Company fail or refuse to comply with all or any of the.conditions of this ordinE;nce, then said exemption from ad valorum taxes stall immediately cease, and thereafter said John Hodge Company shall -be liable for the payment of taxes as if these exemptions had not be an granted.
