in the city of paducah, ky,
Be it ordained by the general council of the city of paducah,.ky,
SEC.I. The chica.go, at, louis and new orleans railroad company is -
hereby Granted the right to construct and maintain a railroad track across north
third street, between jefferson and nonroe streets, in the city of paducah, ky,
from a point where the same now e. -tends on the north side of dovington brothers
grocery company, so as to�connect with a track on the p:.•.operty of the cole-Lan clak
-realty company, situated on the west side of third street, on the corner of third
and jefferson streets, in the city of Paducah, ky, A Blue Print showing the right
-of r.ray herein, granted to said railroad company is filed herewith, anfj made a part.
hereof as fully as if embraced herein, and marked "A "for identi=i_,s,i,)_,.
SFS:. 2�. Tthsaid track shall be of standard gauge, and shall be
constructed so as to conform to the grade of said street, and in the costruction
thereof, where it is neccessary, the said railroad company shall construct culver`g
at its cost, for the free ';Lvlow and passage of crater , and said track shall be kept
and maintained in good condition and repair by said railroad company, and the saidg
street between the rails of said track , and one -foot on each side of said rail, _
shall be kept in good condition and repair. and whenever said street is construct•ec;

or re- constructed by order of the general council of the city of paducah, or its

governing body, said railroad company shall pay the costs of construction or re-
construction thereof between its rails, and one foot on either side thereof, and
shall keep such portion of said street in good condition, and in conformity w`..ith
the grade thereof, andshall use such material in the construction or re- constructi�li;,`
or repair thereof as may be I:sed in the construction or said street,under ordinances
ofsaid city providing therefor, all of which shall be clone at the exclusive cost of
said railroad cor2pany.
SEC. j. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
