SEC - 6' The contractor awarded the contract herein shall be paid mon'.
thly by improvement vrarrants issued by the city of pad.ucah, upon estimates ;urnished by
thecity engineer, to the extent of sixt;r-five; per cent (65�°) ofthe value of the work
done by the contractor, during the progress of the work, and said impro'vement warrants '
shall bear sig; per cent (6��) interest from date of issue, and shall be issued by the cl.Y
treasurer upon order of the general ;council. s43.id improvement warrants shall benegotia-
ble and shall constitute e lien on the local taxes to be hereafter levied upon the progf
erty abutting said improvement, for such improvement, and °shall be payable at the office
