AN ORDINANCE PROVIDEING FOR THE COTISTRUCTION OF CONCRETE SIDEWALKS AND 'I
CUTTERS, TOGETHER WITH GRANITE CURBING`AND ALL NECCFSSARY T:IANHOLRS, INTAKES, CATCTT BAS'1

"Be it ordained by the General Council of the city of paducah, ky.;
SEC.I. That sidewalks, curbs, and emitters, together with all neccessarl�
Imanholes, intakes, catch basins, sewers and driveways, on both sides of monroe street
between twelth and seventeenth streets, in the city of paducah, ky, be, and the same _

;are, hereby ordered to be constructed.
SEC.2. Said sidewalks and gutters shall be constructed of concrete
!tenial, and the curbing therefor shall be of granite: and all of said work shall be don
iin strci accordance with the pians, grades, specifications, widths and profile, of the
city engineer, made and provided for such purpose, and all of auhich are adopted as a
;part hereof as if fully set, forth herein, and the same are now* refered to, and marked

SFC. 3. SAid work shall be constructed under the direction of the board
of public works and the supervisionof the city engineer, and shall be commenced at a
timedesignated by the contract for the p.�erformance of said'work, and completed on or
before september Ist, 1914-
SFC. 4. The cost of such construction of said sidewalks, curbs and gut
tens, with all ner.resso,ry manholes, intakes,catch basins, sewers and driveways, t`ierefo
shall be paid for wholly by the nroerty owners abutting or fronting; theron on both ,y
be apportioned to and assessed against the property and property

SEC. 6. The contractor awarded the contract hrerin shall be ..;

abutting sairl improvement ,for the making of said improvement, and shall be
payable at the office o� the city treasurer, without notice to the holder
thereof, upon completionand acce ptance of the irrork herein provided for, out
lof the first collection of such local taxes, or out of the proceeds of the
sale of any improvement bonds; issued in anticipation of'such local taxes.
