SIDEWALKS A1lll GUTTERS, TOGATHER WITH GRANITE CURBING AND ALT, ]vr(;F;S;;ARY P!iAN1tOLES , CATC1[ .BASINS, SEWERS AND DRIV NAYS, ON BOTH SIDES of KENTUCKY AVF:NUT: FROM NINPTEFZI,, TH STREET TOTWENTIETH STREET, IN THE CITY OF' PADUCAII KEDITUCKY. Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, Sec. 1. That sidewalks, curbs, and (eters, togather with all necessary man- holes intakes catch basins devrers, and driveways, on both sides of Kehtucky Avenue from Nineteenth street to twentieth street, in the City of Paductb, Kentucky, be, and the same are, hereby ordered to be constructed. Sec. 2. Said sidewalks and gutters shall be constructed of concrete .mater- ial and the curbing thereof slle,11 be of granite, and all of said vrork shall be done in strict accordance With the plans, grades, specifactions, Widths anf profiles, of the City Engineer, made and provcided for such purpose, and all of vrhich are adopted as a part hereof as if fully set, forth herein and the same are no -,11 referred to, and marked "A" for tore specific identificati&n Sec, 3. Said work shall be constructed under the direction of the Board of Public Works and the supervision of the City Engibneer, and shall be commenc- ed at a time designated by the contract for the performance: of said work, andeomplet,ed on of before September lst 1914. Ser„ 4. The cost of such construction•of said sidewalks, curbs, and gutters with all necessary manholes, intakes catch basins, sevrers, and driveways therefor, shall be paid for vrholly by the property owners abut't'ing of front - thereon on both sides thereof, to be apportioned to and assessed against the property and property owners fronting and abutting thereon, on both sides thereof, according to the number of feet frontinL; or abutting thereon, except the corner lots abutting upon said improvement shall pay for tl-_e entire cost of akk interesections in addition -to the construction immediat- ely abutting said property, and the City of Paducah shall pay the cost of construction abutting all public Alleys. See. 5. Sec. 6. The contractor awarded the contract herein sIFL11 be paid by e monthly improvement warrants issued by the city of pa ducah, upon estimates furnished i by the city engineer, to the extent of sixty- five per cent (65`,� ) of the value of the work done by the contractor, during the progress of the v,ork, and said improvement vrar2. —rant shall bear six per cent (61) interest from date of issue, and shall be issued by the `city teasurer upon order of the general council, said improvement vrnrrant, shall '! be negotiable, and shall constitute a lien ron the local taxes to be hereafter levied upon the property abutting said improvement,, for the making of said improveme nt, and shall be payable at the office of the city treasurer, without notice to the holder 1 thereof, upon completion and acceptance of the work herein provided for, out ofthe first collect, ion of such local taxes, or out of the preceeds of the sale of any improv; i ment bonds issued in ant, icpation of such local taxes.
