Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; Si
Sec.l. That there be and there is hereby created, pursuant to Section 3133 of the
Kentunky Statutes, which is a part of the Charter of Cities of the second class, the

office of Deputir City Clerk.

Sec.2. The office of deputy 0ity Clerk shall,b filled by appointment mace by the
City Clerk, subject to re..roval at any time `6-r the City Clerk Con account of incompe- i
tency or neglect ,in the discharge of his duties. f
Sec-3. The Deputy City Cleric shall receive as compensation for his services a salary
of Four I'undred and Eighty ( 4S0.00) Dollars per annum payable in monthly installmenta

Sec 4. The Deputy City Clerk shall assist in the discharge of the duties of the City !,
;Clerk and shall be stationed in such Clerk office during the entire term of o_'fiQe,i�
.except that portion of the year -�rhen the services of the assistant is needed in the i+

Assessor's office for the preparation of the tax books, and which services shall be &I}
part of his duties as Deputy City Clerk; and such Deputy Clerk shell perform all
dmties required of him by the City Clerk.
Sec.S. Such Deputy City Clerk shall execu .e bond to the City of Paducah, in the penal
suri.of 02500.00 for the faithful performance of his duties. k
sec .6. All ordinance and parts of ordinances in conflect here-with are hereby repealed�,j
