AN OTtDINANCZ RELATING TO HAWKERS AND HUCKSTERS AND REGULATING THE BUSINESS

leatlon-l.. Any person who shall be engaged in the business of calling or
ffering to sell,At private residences and otherwise than at a regular

lice, wares, fruit or produce of any kind, within the limits of the City
X Paducah, is hereby deemed and declared to be a hawker or hucXatero
1,ECTION-2- Any person who shall engage in the business of huckstering or
awking,(as proscribed in Section one of this ordinance) within the limits
tt �f the City of Paducah. Ky., without having a license therefor, issued by
..he C0unq-.1 Clark of the said City of Paducah, shall be fined not less
khan 03.00 nor oare than $5.00, for each offense. I I
SECTION -3- This ordinance shall not apply to farmers and producers who
may sell articles of their own production or raising, nor shall it''be so
construed so as to prevent th-eir. frcm :selling al --y of the articled of their
own Production, or raising, at the private residences within the said oityl
nor shall it apply to grocers and other merchants who may solicit orders
and fill the same by delivering any artiqla ordered of any agnet or clerk
of aLy*ouoh grocer or merchant within the said City'of Paducah, Ky,,,
SECTION -4- For securing the license as required by this ordinance, the'
applicant shall Pay the treasurer of the City of Paducah the sum of $2006

SECTION -5- All ordinances and Parts of ordinances in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed*
BECTION-6- This ordinance shall take effect from and after its Pa.jS4&e
and approval.
