HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-10-6585372 ORDINANCE NO. 2002-10- (,o VS ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY, BY FINALIZING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY LYING ADJACENT TO THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF PADUCAH, AND DEFINING ACCURATELY THE BOUNDARY OF SAID PROPERTY TO BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE SAID CORPORATE LIMITS WHEREAS, a tract of properties adjacent to the present city limits, located west of Industrial Park West, is urban in character and suitable for development for urban purposes without unreasonable delay; and WHEREAS, the property is contiguous to the present corporate limits of the City, and it is desirable and necessary to annex the hereinafter described property; and WHEREAS, said tract of land is not within the boundary of another incorporated city; and WHEREAS, the owners have requested such annexation in writing to the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the City of Paducah. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY: SECTION 1. It is the intent of the City of Paducah, Kentucky, to finalize the annexation of the hereinafter described property, and therefore that the hereinafter described property be annexed to, and made a part of the City of Paducah, Kentucky; said real property being more particularly and accurately described as follows: A tract of land lying in McCracken County, Kentucky, approximately 420 feet east of Maxon Road and 600 feet south of State Route 305 (a.k.a. Cairo Road), being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a 5/8"x24" iron rebar w/cap (set) PLS #3117 at the northeasterly corner of the property described herein, said iron rebar being located South 05 degrees 22' 26' West, 152.95 feet from a %2" iron rebar (fnd) a comer to Glen C. Vancil and Patricia Ann Vancil property of record in Deed Book 509, Page 311 McCracken County Court Clerk's Office, said iron rebar lying in the westerly line of the Paducah -McCracken County Industrial Development Authority property of record in Deed Book 875, Page 28, Deed Book 882, Page 186, Deed Book 897, Page 303 McCracken County Court Clerk's Office, said westerly line being depicted on Plat Section L, Page 648 and Plat Section L, Page 677 McCracken County Court Clerk's Office and known as Tract A on said plats; thence with the westerly line of said Tract A South 05 degrees 22' 26" West, 1,293.69 feet to an iron stob (fnd); thence continuing with the westerly line of Tract A South 04 degrees 46' 24" West, 508.80 feet to a 5/8"x24" iron rebar w/cap (set) PLS #3117; thence leaving the westerly line of Tract A and with the northerly line of Leonard Wring and Sandy Wring property of record in Deed Book 684, Page 05 McCracken County Court Clerk's Office North 73 degrees 10' 31" West, 440.38 feet to a 5/8"xZV iron rebar w/cap (set) PLS #3117 a common corner to Arthur D. Litchfield and Nella Mae Litchfield of record in Deed Book 698, Page 467; thence leaving the northerly line of Wring and with the easterly line of Litchfield North 18 degrees 24'49" East, 252.22 feet to a %2" iron rebar w/cap (fnd) PLS #1752; thence with the northerly line of Litchfield North 45 degrees 28' 00" West, 190.21 feet to a YT iron rebar w/cap (fnd) PLS #1752; thence continuing with the northerly line of Litchfield North 70 degrees 51' 32" West, 70.00 feet to a 5/8"x24" iron rebar w/cap (set) PLS #3117 a common corner to Rufus Ray Wilkins, Jr. and Jo Ann Wilkins property of record in Deed Book 541, Page 513 McCracken County Court Clerk's Office; thence with the easterly line of Wilkins North 18 degrees 21'09" East, 170.03 feet to a %2" iron rebar (fnd) at a common corner to Scott L. Holmes property of record in Deed Book 962, Page 416 McCracken County Court Clerk's Office; thence with the easterly line of the Holmes property and the easterly line of the Frances Sherron, Et Al property of record in Deed Book 718, page 01, and the easterly line of the 373 Paul Peck & Ora B. Subject property being the same property conveyed to Paducah -McCracken County Industrial Development Authority by deed from Glen C. Vancil and Patricia Ann Vancil of record in Deed Book 989, Page 62 McCracken County Court Clerk's Office. SECTION 2.
