ORDINANCE NO. 2002-9- "77
AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR
TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY WITH THE U. S. DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION FOR A SMALL COMMUNITY AIR SERVICE
DEVELOPMENT PILOT PROGRAM (AIR -21) GRANT FOR THE BARKLEY
REGIONAL AIRPORT
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PADUCAH, KENTUCKY:
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of Paducah is hereby authorized and
directed to execute all documents necessary with the U. S. Department of Transportation
for a Small Community Air Service Development Pilot Program (AIR -21) grant. This is
a reimbursable marketing grant in the amount of $304,000 to be used for marketing
efforts for Barkley Regional Airport.
SECTION 2. An emergency is hereby declared to exist due to a
determination by the U. S. Department of Transportation that the City of Paducah should
serve as the recipient agency of the grant instead of the grant going directly to the
Paducah Airport Corporation and this ordinance shall become effective immediately with
one reading.
