Health Officer—Duties, Salary Amendment,
An ordinance amending an ordinance fixing the salary of
the City Health Officer, and specifying certain duties of the
officer in addition to those already fixed by ordinance, ap-
proved on February 12th, Igor, by Jas. Nf. Lang, Mayor of
the city of Paducah, and attested by •Harry L. Fisher, Clerk
of the City Council on the Tab of February, Igor, by strik-
ing out in the first section of said ordinance, the words and
figures "two hundred and fifty ($250.00) and by inserting in

Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of
Paducah, Kentucky.
Section 1. That the salary of the Health Officer of the
City be fixed at ($66o.00) six hundred dollars per annum,

payable in equal monthly installments out of the city treas-
ury.
Sec. 2. That the salary as herein specified shall be in
lieu of any charge that the Health Officer shall make for
any service as such officer either. to the citizens of Paducah
or to non-residents, and it shall be unlawful for said Health

Officer to charge, a fee for any service pertaining to his
office whatever.
Sec. 3. That the City Health Officer, in addition to cer-
tain duties to be performed by him heretofore specified and
fixed by former ordinances shall perform such other duties
as the General Council may by ordinance prescribe.
Mustobserve Sec. 4. That the Health Officer shall at all times -
' all ordinances strictly observe all of the ordinances of the City of Padu-
cah pertaining to the conduct of the office or to sanitation.
Penalty_ Sec. 5. That for the violation of any of the provisions
hereof, the said Health Officer shall be fined in any amount
not less than $5oo nor more than $Io.00 for each offense.
Sec. 6. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are 'hereby
repealed, to the extent of such confliction, and this 6rdi-
nance shall take effect from and after the election and
qualification of the successor to the present incumbent.

Protection of Streets and Sidewalks.
i An ordinance to protect the streets and side -walks of the
City of Paducah, where same are to be opened for purpose of
making connections with sewer, water, gas and steam heating
pipes, or for any other purpose.
Be it ordained by the General Council of the City of Pa-
ducah, Ky.:
